Named after the Tsonga word for the Olifants River, this camp offers guests a truly immersive nature experience. With only the most basic facilities and no electricity, it provides the ultimate "back-to-basics" retreat.

A low fence is the only barrier separating you from the wilderness, allowing you to feel completely connected to the natural world. There are no activities offered at Balule Satellite camp however, Guided Bush walks and Game drives for groups of 10 guests or more can be arranged at Olifants Camp.

  • Vegetation like Wilddate Palm, Weeping Boer Bean, Buffalothorn, Sycamore Fig, Reeds, Jackalberry, Leadwood, Fever Tree, Sycamore Fig, Thorny Cluster Leaf, Knob Thorn and White Seringa
